NEWS FROM DELTA EDUCATION

FOSS K–6 Copyright 2005 Now Available!

The FOSS K–6 modules have been newly revised for 2005! FOSS Science Stories now include additional content. Some of the enhanced content areas include ecosystems and food chains ( Environments ), energy (Physics of Sound), light, shadows, and the night sky (Ideas and Inventions), the Solar System (Solar Energy), and force and motion (Models and Designs). Because FOSS Science Stories are an integral part of the curriculum, the module kits now include 32 books (instead of 8). The Trees Module also includes a new folio—"Tools for Observing Weather" and equipment to conduct weather observations with your class.

The Teacher Guides have been updated to reflect the new content in the Science Stories folio. There is also a revised FOSS Introduction folio and a module-specific FOSS Website folio to enhance the connection between the module and FOSSweb. Be sure to check FOSSweb (www.fossweb.com) often as new features, such as vocabulary lists for each module, are being added on a regular basis.

FOSS Middle School Resources Books
Now Available in Hardcover Format

The Middle School courses now have 32 student Resources books in hardcover (except Electronics, which will be available in January 2005). These hardcover books contain some additional content and are sturdier than their softcover counterparts. The change to hardcover was made after some helpful customer feedback on the Middle School Resources books.

All FOSS K–6 and Middle School kits and print material have new part numbers. For information on new part numbers, please contact Delta Education at 800-258 1302, www.deltaeducation.com, or through your Regional Sales Manager.
